Hi, just placed a deposit on a very nice Indy (R1 engine) and have been calling a few places to get insurance quotes. I'm 44 and have 4 Years NCB but 6 points for a couple of SP30s last Year. I was quoted £341 by Footman James, £211 by 2Gether, and this morning I received an e-mail with a rather good quote of £98.12 from TR Youngs Insurance Brokers. Only £50 excess too. All are fully comp quotes - the 2Gether quote was parts only, but by the sounds of it, a parts only policy seems ok for a kit car - I guess the point is you build them yourself, so save insurance premium by carrying out the labour part of any repairs yourself. So....... £98.12, not bad at all that is it?
