hi all, ive been tryin to hold out on buying some new tyres untill after my first track day (feb 9th). but its lookin like i may need them before hand due to a nail in the off side rear tyre (unrepairable). ive been lookin at gettin toyo r888's would this be a bad idea so close to the date i prob wont get any milage on them until i travel the 30 miles to the track on the day. also what do you all think off these tyres?

The RB5 is cheaper than the R888 by a good amount, i have a pal who has run both and he goes with the R888 at £120 each on a 205/15, the Rb5 does me at £75 on a 205/15, maby i just like the price

yer the cheeper is better just a would rather put a dont tyre on than leave the road a dont under stand people wen they put cheep tyres on its not worth it at all you compound you use on the rb5's soft or med
